The Ram TRX SRT Is Here
The wait is over for truck enthusiasts and performance fans. The 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT is officially arriving at dealerships and shipping to customers across the country, marking the return of one of the most legendary names in the high-performance truck segment. Built to push the limits of off-road capability and raw power, the new Ram TRX SRT is the first off-road vehicle from the relaunched SRT Performance division and represents a bold new chapter for Ram trucks.
The Return of the Ram TRX SRT
When Ram unveiled the 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT earlier this year, excitement spread quickly among truck enthusiasts eager to see the iconic performance pickup return. Now, just six months later, the first trucks are rolling off the assembly line at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Michigan and making their way to proud new owners.
According to Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis, simply bringing back the TRX wasn’t enough. The goal was to make it even better.
“The original TRX set the benchmark for performance trucks and bringing it back wasn’t enough, the team had to grind for the last 10th. This is pure American performance and ingenuity built with pride by our team at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Michigan.”
The Most Powerful Gas-Powered Half-Ton Pickup Ever Built
The 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT earns its place at the top of the performance truck world with incredible factory specifications. Producing an astonishing 777 horsepower and 680 lb.-ft. of torque, it is officially the most powerful production, street-legal, gas-powered half-ton pickup ever built.
Designed for drivers who demand both extreme off-road capability and impressive on-road performance, the new Ram TRX continues the legacy established by its predecessor while raising the bar for what a high-performance pickup can deliver.
For shoppers searching for the ultimate Ram performance truck, the new TRX SRT offers a combination of horsepower, durability, and capability unlike anything else in the segment.
Built with American Pride in Michigan
Every 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT is assembled at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant (SHAP) in Michigan, the longtime home of the Ram 1500. Since production began there in 2018, more than 2 million Ram 1500 trucks have rolled off the assembly line.
Stellantis has invested more than $1.7 billion in the facility since 2016, reinforcing its commitment to American manufacturing and the future of the Ram brand.
Plant Manager Chuck Padden highlighted the excitement surrounding production of the new performance truck.
“When we started building this truck, you could feel the pride and excitement from our UAW-represented workforce. SHAP has been the home of the Ram for nearly a decade and it’s an honor to build the first SRT off-road product since the legendary performance division was relaunched earlier this year.”
A New Era for SRT Performance
The arrival of the Ram 1500 TRX SRT also signals the return of the legendary SRT Performance division to the Ram lineup. As the first off-road model from the newly relaunched performance brand—and the first SRT-branded Ram truck in two decades—the TRX SRT sets the tone for what’s ahead.
By combining proven off-road engineering with world-class performance and unmistakable Ram styling, the TRX SRT demonstrates the renewed focus on building vehicles that excite enthusiasts while delivering everyday capability.
The Ram TRX SRT Has Arrived
As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, the launch of the 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT serves as a fitting showcase of American engineering, manufacturing, and performance. With customer deliveries now underway, drivers won’t have to wait much longer to experience the next evolution of the legendary Ram TRX.
If you’ve been searching for the latest Ram truck, the return of the Ram 1500 TRX SRT delivers everything performance truck enthusiasts have been waiting for—unmatched power, legendary off-road capability, and the unmistakable presence that only a TRX can offer.
